CourseGraphic 50 HOURS - certificate awarded upon successful completion of course.

This level one science class will prepare you for testing and certification as a Massage Therapist in the areas of Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology related to the following systems: Integumentary, Cardiovascular, Lymphatic, Immune, Respiratory, Digestive, Urinary and Reproductive.   For a massage therapy student, the basic study of the body systems supports learning the most pertinent information relative to massage. Additionally, the pathologies or disease processes of each system and how they relate to applications of massage will be thoroughly explored. We will utilize online resources and activities, you will be required to use a computer to access them as part of your grade in this class.
Prerequisite:  None
Please bring required textbooks to the first class meeting: Essential Sciences for Therapeutic Massage 5th Edition by Sandy Fritz, as well as The Anatomy Coloring Book,  4th Edition by Wynn Kapit & Lawrence M. Elson.
