Are you looking to make extra money, and be a service for children in need? The Court orders a Professional Monitor to accompany a minor child and their non-custodial parent, for various reasons. Your service will allow the custodial parent the reassurance that the child’s physical and emotional safety is being provided for. The role of the Professional Supervised Visitation Monitor is to be a neutral party who observes behavior.
In this 20 hour training (12 hours of classroom time, 8 hours of homework), you will be thoroughly trained to be an Independent Professional Monitor or register with a Monitoring Agency. Your training will include: monitor procedures, supervised visitation techniques, child abuse reporting, child development, codes and standards, preparing reports and declarations, handling subpoenas, and marketing your business. The training will consist of lecture, training videos, homework assignments and role playing, which will encompass the required 5.20 standards of practice training hours.
Prerequisite: Must be 21 years of age, able to obtain a background check clearance and fingerprinting.
