Comic Book & Anime Art (Grades 3-9)

Here's your chance to create your very own comic book characters and strips, and learn how to draw your very own Anime characters. You will learn step-by-step drawing, shading with pencil, facial expressions, and how to create original comic characters and strips. I'll show you how to use simple geometric forms to create cartoon characters in popular Japanese anime style. You will come up with your own characters as well as learn how to draw dynamic movements and actions. By the end of the class, you will have your own art portfolio to take with you displaying your own personal style.

Materials to purchase prior to the start of class are:
Four pencils, eraser, ruler, 4 ink pens, 1 pack of colored pencils, 1 pack of colored markers and drawing paper or white card stock paper.
