Ceramics-Expressions Through Sculpture (Grades 5-12)

Bring clay to life by exploring the virtually limitless world of functional art through ceramics sculpture. This class is designed to give students an opportunity to express their creativity; they will learn a variety of hand building techniques such as pinching, slab construction, and coiling. Students will learn different surface decorative techniques like: scraffito, stenciling, impressed texture, slip painting, and dry-brushing. Students will also be shown various styles of glazing techniques.
